New Delhi: In the current fourth Test match between India and England, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has come under fire from former captain Ravi Shastri for giving up his wicket during the run chase.
With two wins out of three matches, Team India has already taken the lead in the Test series against England. Should the hosts win this one as well, they would win the whole five-match series.

Ravi Shastri said, “This is dessert after lunch, served on the platter for England,” after Ravindra Jadeja’s defeat by Shoaib Bashir.

Yashasvi Jaiswal earlier tied Virat Kohli’s record of 655 runs during the current Test series against England to become the joint-second-highest Indian run scorer in a home Test series.

On the fourth day of the fourth Test between India and England, Jaiswal equaled Kohli’s score. With his 732 runs scored in the six games against the West Indies in 1978–79, Sunil Gavaskar is still atop this chart.

The 22-year-old, who is playing in only his third Test series for India, has opened the current series against England with an explosive 80 runs, and he has been on a roll.

India’s triumph in Vizag was made possible by the opener’s outstanding innings of 209, and he followed it up with another outstanding double hundred (214 not out) in Rajkot, giving the home team the advantage in the series.

When England played five matches in India in 2016, Kohli was able to reach his run total. In eight innings, he hit two hundreds and as many as fifty, with a career-high total of 235.
