A portion of Alia Bhatt's followers have started criticizing Bollywood starlet Deepika Padukone on social media. The Cocktail actress reportedly followed an anti-Alia Bhatt Twitter account. The actress has been criticized for being 'insecure' after sharing behind-the-scenes photographs from her Oscars moment. But it seemed that she quickly realized it was a “mistake” and fixed it by unfollowing the account.
A Twitter user going by the handle @Instajustice13 claimed that Alia Bhatt-trolling Deepika Padukone's “backup” account was followed by the actress Deepika Padukone. Additionally, the account posted a purported video that purported to show their notification that Deepika had followed the account. Twitter user: “Not #DeepikaPadukone following my backup account.”
While a few users claimed to have also seen the account listed in Deepika's Twitter “Following” list, a supporter claimed to have told the actress about the anti-Alia account and its plans, and the actress swiftly unfollowed the account.
The anti-Alia account was afterwards unfollowed by Deepika, according to a screenshot of a Twitter user with the handle @dishaspovs that has gone viral. The person claimed to have told Deepika about the malicious account. The tweet, which included an image of the purported message the user sent to the actress and the latter having received it, said, “She unfollowed that account after seeing my texts so she definitely wasn't aware of it!” At the time of reporting, the Twitter account is a private one. News18 is unable to verify the veracity of the cited tweet.
With several retweets and posts showcasing Kangana Ranaut and Madhuri Dixit, the alleged anti-Alia Bhatt account seems to be a fan of the two actors. Additionally, a few Reddit users reported seeing Deepika follow the account for a few hours before unfollowing it.
Deepika has not yet responded to the purported Twitter behavior.
