One of the most eagerly expected films of 2023 is Rajnikanth's long-awaited flick “Jailer.” The actor's most recent film, “Annatthe,” was released in 2021; he will now make a triumphant return with Nelson's “Jailer,” which is said to be one of Rajnikanth's most costly movies.
The movie has been in development for a while, and it was filmed in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kerala. The movie, which stars Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, and Ramya Krishnan among others, is scheduled to be released on July 4th.
According to a source from Pinkvilla, the movie will debut during the Vinayaka Chaturthi Festival. The film's creators will shortly reveal the official release date and advertising materials.
Jailer is particularly unique since Rajnikanth is making his return to the big screen after a two-year absence, and his fans can't wait to see him. Rajinikanth will be featured as a severe warden in this action thriller, which is said to take place behind the walls of a high-security jail.
Nelson, who is renowned for his dark-toned comedies and inventive use of the celebrity image, is writing and directing the movie, making it an even bigger event. His most well-known effort was in the box office hit “Beast,” which starred Vijay.
Nelson is renowned for portraying his heroes as stoic and having his characters look on passively. One may see a similar tendency in Rajnikanth's character in the movie's recently released trailer.
Anirush Ravichander composed the movie's soundtrack, while Vijay Karthik Kannan is in charge of the photography. R Nirmal will edit the movie, but Sun Pictures is financing it.
The film's creators want to make it a pan-Indian production with a large star cast from several regional language industries as well. Regarding Rajnikanth's future movie, the actor has teamed up with TG Gnanavel, the director of the film “Jai Bhim,” for an unnamed project.
